In reply to Gilbert. Thanks Gilbert! Haha I guess as long as we maintain a right balance it should be fine to spend occasionally! Just needed to have more structure in place, in my case. I do have quite a number (at least 6 of them XD) of books in my backlog which I've bought but hasn't started reading (or completed reading) yet. Most are either personal finance, investment, or self improvement books.

If it makes you feel any better - I have the very same struggles too! Trying to save and invest while trying to buy something nice for my loved ones!

By the way - have you worked out which of the 8 books you want to read for 2021 yet ?
